The renderer contract

Read-only, depth-first, deterministic — and platform-free at the core.

Renderers consume the resolved tree read-only: depth-first visits over visible nodes, hidden subtrees skipped, model-only reads, deterministic output. Absent visible means shown; the text line format is backend-defined. The core vocabulary carries no platform concepts, so no core definition blocks any future backend — platform-specific APIs, when they arrive, live outside the core vocabulary.

Renderer-specific behavior and platform-adapter mapping await the design record and future backend milestones. Platform adapters will map the shared accessibility model to native accessibility systems.
